Embedded Software Engineer

Role

In this position, you will be developing embedded control systems for a number of exciting new projects to support our clients.

A diverse range of projects means you can be assigned to projects that best fit your skills and experience. The developments are frequently on established platforms for large clients who market their leading-edge products internationally.  Innovation and improved efficiency are always sought.

This position will have you working closely with our Firmware Development Team Leaders and alongside other technical staff to support the successful execution of our projects.

Work Requirements

Our initial requirement is for an embedded developer with embedded C programming skills. Experience with embedded C development is a requirement.

Knowledge or experience with the following would be an advantage but is not required:

  • Embedded hardware development.

  • Wireless communication (BLE/WiFi/LTE).

  • Experience with AWS IOT server.

  • Familiarity with higher-level software.

  • Experience with git.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Software, Electrical or Computer Systems Engineering or equivalent is required.

  • To qualify for this role, you must be located in Auckland and authorised to work in New Zealand.

  • A candidate with 2+ years of experience is preferred, although an exceptional graduate would be considered.

  • There is also the possibility for a more experienced developer with the right skill set to provide management or mentoring support to our junior devs.
