International Day of the Girl 2024
Last Friday, our General Manager Janet Van Jenkins visited Lynfield College to celebrate 🌟 International Day of the Girl 🌟 and discuss the importance of STEM education to a number of year 8 and 9 students. The enthusiasm and dreams of these young girls, from aspiring architects to marine biologists, engineers to future scientists, were truly inspiring!
It was fantastic to see students attending this event during their school holidays, engaging in robot building, hands-on STEM activities, and meeting people from industry, including Rocket Lab and Women in Space Aotearoa New Zealand.
Congratulations to head girl, Daisy, for rallying a couple of friends to help her organise this #GirlPowered day, and teacher Craig Yearbury for making it happen. It was a pleasure for FlexWare to sponsor this event.
